Elizabeth Kraft
Principal
As a New Orleans native, Elizabeth Ferrara Kraft had an appreciation for architecture from an early age. Close friends who were architects introduced her to the profession, and she soon realized her personality was well suited to the field; she found great satisfaction in combining creativity with practical needs.
Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Rice University, including a memorable semester in the Paris studio. She began her career in the New York City office of Michael Graves and Associates. She later joined the Chicago office of John Ronan Architects where she was a designer on the AIA award winning Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, a new high school on the city’s West Side.
In 2010 Elizabeth returned to New Orleans and joined the office of Fernandez+Johnson Architecture. Over the next ten years she was a Project Architect on numerous healthcare and higher education projects, developing both her design expertise and her client relationships.
As a founding partner of Kennedy Kraft Architects, Elizabeth brings extensive experience in a wide variety of project types, ranging from procedure rooms with complex equipment requirements to student facilities focused on hospitality and branding. She has built strong working relationships with clients including Loyola University New Orleans, Touro Infirmary, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, and Tulane Medical Center. She works closely with each of her clients to meet their programmatic needs thoroughly and on time. She believes relationships are at the heart of everything and strives to build trust and respect within every project team.
Elizabeth is an avid runner and traveler. In her free time she can also be found sewing, volunteering at her sons’ school, and spending time with her family.
