Alyssa Favrot
Architect
Alyssa Favrot was drawn to the medical field at an early age as part of her desire to help people. She initially believed that a career in nursing was her calling and began her studies at University of New Orleans in the Pre-Nursing program. Gradually she found that her true passion lay elsewhere. Her love of sketching and painting was deepened through design electives and evolved into an interest in architecture and the built environment.
Alyssa received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Upon graduating, she moved to Austin, TX to work for an award-winning architectural firm that specializes in multifamily residential projects. She worked directly with developers as a designer and project manager to meet each project’s specific programmatic needs.
In 2021, Alyssa moved back to her native New Orleans and joined a firm specializing in single family residential and commercial projects. She gained additional project management experience, working closely with clients to guide them through the entire design and construction process. The more intimate scale of these projects allowed her to further hone her design skills.
Alyssa was excited to join Kennedy Kraft in 2022, as it allowed her to bring her interest in the medical field together with her love of design. She believes that her most valuable design skill is her willingness to learn and listen. This skill is especially important in healthcare design as the field is ever evolving.
Outside of the office Alyssa loves spending time with her husband and two dogs, hiking the levee, and enjoying local food. She still regularly finds time to sketch and paint.
