This project is intended to renovate and expand the existing recreational facility on the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary campus. The goal was to design a new regulation-sized basketball arena and integrate it both functionally and aesthetically with the existing recreation center, creating a cohesive athletic complex. 

The existing recreation center will be renovated to better meet the needs of the campus and create a common aesthetic between the two buildings. It will house pickleball/racquetball courts, Crossfit space, a weight room, and locker rooms.

The new basketball arena will be located on the opposite side of the existing pool. The design marries a clean, modern aesthetic with traditional New Orleans accents to create a building that feels fresh yet familiar. The courtyard created around the existing pool by the new addition activates this outdoor space by providing additional shade and access to concessions.
