The new 5-story, 70,000 sf Children’s Behavioral Health Hospital was designed to be a safe, healing environment where patients can be assessed and treated with compassion.

Levels 3, 4 and 5 provide 51 inpatient beds for kids aged 7-17 in mental health crisis. These floors are identical, but color-coded with accent colors to provide wayfinding and variety between floors. Each patient floor is divided between day and night spaces. Level 2 has Occupational Therapy rooms to help with patients’ recovery: Art Room, Music Room and Movement Room.

An exterior playground with Astroturf, swings and basketball half-court is connected to Level-1. There is also a large indoor activity room for rain days and events. Level 1 is also home to the Autism and Psychology Outpatient Clinic, enabling the evaluation and management for a range of behavioral health conditions. A large conference room off the main lobby offers a flexible space for internal meetings and educational sessions to parents.s.
